Xpel PPF Protection from the Weather
We’ve often written about the brilliant self-healing technology that Xpel Paint Protection Film offers. It’s this technology that ensures that swirl marks, light scuffs and scratches all correct themselves over a short time. It’s also what many clients ask about when they visit our Auto Curators Hampshire premises. But there’s also another reason to consider PPF installation. You can also get Xpel PPF Protection from the elements! Read on for all the details.
Xpel PPF Protection from the Weather
Can rain damage your car’s paintwork?
As we nudge towards April, with its notorious showers, it seems like an appropriate time to explore whether rain can damage your vehicle’s paintwork.
It’s not so much the rainwater that can damage your car’s paintwork but the contaminants that it collects from the atmosphere as it falls. You might have heard this, somewhat alarmingly, referred to as ‘acid rain’.
The real problem comes when the rainwater and the pollutants that it has collected dry on the surface of your car, leaving marks. Xpel PPF will protect the originality of your vehicle’s paintwork from any environmental factors. That’s not to say your Xpel coated car won’t need a clean after significant rain; it most certainly will.
However, you can easily remove most marks during your regular wash routine. For more stubborn stains, use a strong dilution of All-Purpose Cleaner, or a tar removing solvent.
A little extra protection:
You can also add extra protection to your Xpel PPF protection!
FUSION PLUS ™ Paint & PPF is a flexible and thin, 9H ceramic coating, purposely developed to perform with PPF (paint protection film) and painted surfaces. FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating offers unrivalled gloss, superior hydrophobic protection, and improved scratch resistance with a single layer application. It is the only coating that will maintain the ten-year warranty of Xpel films.
And when the sun shines…
I think we’re all hoping for a great summer! 🤞🏼 And it’s during the sunniest months that Xpel PPF can really help protect your car from the elements.
Constant exposure to the sun’s rays can undoubtedly harm your vehicle’s paintwork. But paint protection film is like sunscreen for your car. It protects it from damaging UV rays and helps avoid a respray, therefore maintaining the originality of your vehicle’s paintwork.
